Clarke (Mrs Bridge in the book) Christmas 1946. On the title page under the author Mrs. Clarke has written: (Lt. Col. A.R.F. Clarke, M.C., R.A.M.C. No.1 Malaya Field Amb., Singapore). Octavo, grey cloth, corners bumped, in fair dust wrapper (in protective cover, not price clipped, browned, some losses to spine extremities and rear), two trivial stains on the front end paperm, no front free end paper also no publisher's advertisements referred to in other copies, thus 4 pages unpaginated, pagination starts at page 9 to 381 then rear free end paper, there is no indication that any leaves have been excised.
