Includes complete sets of the Fantasy Poets series (35 issues), New Poems (6 issues), and Oxford Poetry (7 issues). Established by the surrealist artist Oscar Mellor in the early 1950s and associated with the University of Oxford Poetry Society, the Fantasy Press gained notability for its pivotal role in the emergence of 'Movement' poets, a group that went on to define post-war poetry in Great Britain. Fantasy Press published the early work of many poets associated with the Movement and became renowned for its Fantasy Poets +series. Included here are early works by Philip Larkin, Kingsley Amis, Geoffrey Hill, Thom Gunn, and Elizabeth Jennings amongst others.
