Este monográfico pretende ofrecer un recorrido por el panorama actual de la interpretación y su aplicación a la enseñanza, tomando como modelo el sector jurídico-económico, un ámbito muy solicitado tanto por los profesionales como por los centros de educación superior. Se trata de un tema de especial actualidad, sobre todo, tras la implantación de las tecnologías que han propiciado el uso de nuevas técnicas que suponen un reto didáctico para los centros, el profesorado y el alumnado; así como el establecimiento del EEES, los estudios de grado y dobles itinerarios, que, igualmente, han marcado un antes y un después en la manera de formar intérpretes. Este es el motivo por el cual el objetivo prioritario de este libro es ofrecer una propuesta de carácter teórico-práctico, basada en las distintas metodologías que se pueden aplicar a la enseñanza de esta materia, en constante proceso de cambio, y en la que entran en juego los materiales que distintas universidades han creado exprofeso en los últimos años. En primer lugar, se analiza la definición de esta disciplina de una manera pragmático-funcional. Comenzamos haciendo un recorrido por su historia y reconocimiento como profesión, la trascendente evolución que ha sufrido en las últimas décadas, sus distintos tipos, técnicas y los numerosos contextos donde se practica, para concluir con una reflexión sobre los aspectos que podrían influir en el futuro de la didáctica y la profesión de la interpretación. Posteriormente, se explica la ubicación de las asignaturas de interpretación dentro del Marco Europeo de Educación Superior, la legislación educativa española y el entorno de las universidades junto con los espacios en los que se asientan los Grados en Traducción e Interpretación (facultades o departamentos). A continuación, se enuncian los principales aspectos que caracterizan la docencia de las asignaturas de interpretación, tales como: los contenidos, los objetivos didácticos y la metodología per se, que, por último, se plasman en un modelo de planificación por unidades didácticas para las combinaciones inglés-español y francés-español. Para ello, tomamos como referencia el eje temático jurídico-económico, donde destacan actividades diseñadas para tratar la interpretación en áreas en las que, normalmente por motivos de confidencialidad, no se puede acceder a contenidos reales, como son: los negocios, las finanzas, aspectos bancarios, conversaciones con aseguradoras, acuerdos comerciales, políticos, etc. Y dentro del ámbito jurídico, proponemos la interpretación de discursos y realización de tareas que versan sobre la defensa de los derechos humanos y animales, del colectivo LGTB+, la interpretación en comisarías de policía, en juicios, tribunales y vistas o en la asistencia a inmigrantes, refugiados y demandantes de asilo, que pueden considerarse parte de los temas clave que se abordan en las páginas de este libro. *** Nota: Los envíos a España peninsular, Baleares y Canarias se realizan a través de mensajería urgente.
