The front pastedown shows a bookplate from the congregation and the title page and front end page are also stamped. There are no markings at the rear end page or pastedown. There are also perhaps a dozen or two pages with light pencil marks: either names underlined or vertical lines marking the paragraphs. These are very light and can be erased if desired.

Coming from Russian Orthodoxy, in 1815 she became a Catholic, largely as the result of reading the writings of Joseph de Maistre, though she had also been under the influence of the Jesuits.
