[22cm] Light green cloth over boards with title stamped in black on spine. Illustrated dust jacket. Illustrated end papers. Boards have some soiling and minimal rubbing on front and spine. Spine is ever so slightly rolled. The endpapers is slightly darkened near the hinges, and have some minor rubbing. The dust jacket is in very good condition. It has small tears and rubbing along the edges with the largest being on the head of the spine and minimal fading on the head and foot of the spine. Price clipped. This is a first edition of Lowndes's classic science fiction novel. Lowndes was the editor of several science fiction and fantasy magazines. Jacket illustration by Kenneth Fagg.
