Insgesamt solides, durchaus noch ansprechendes Exemplar. In englischer Sprache. John Robert (called Jack) Spurling wurde 1870 geboren, und hatte aussergewöhnliche Begabung und Liebe zu Segelschiffen. Er fand Anerkennung durch seine detailreiche und wirklichkeitsnahe Darstellung der Clipper und für die Schönheit seiner Arbeit.
