Sun-faded spine, rubbed board edges, corners and spine ends, some soiling to boards, slightly cupped. Top text block edge dust damaged, remaining edges tanning. Endpapers starting to tan; lender's stamps and markings on front endpapers and copyright page, front free endpaper and first blank page have 3cm closed tear at top; pages ageing, volume quite loose. Otherwise internally neat and clean.

First edition hard back binding in publisher's original navy blue cloth covers, gilt title and author lettering to the spine and to the upper panel. 8vo. 7½'' x 5¼''. Contains 126 [23 Publisher's Catalogue] printed pages of text with monochrome diagrams and photographs throughout.
