Professionally rebacked with a new suppl…e morocco spine; original leather over corners present but rubbed and chipped, with mild flaking and wear at board edges. Complete with all maps and lithographed views present. Includes the center-folded two-page colored maps of the United States and Pennsylvania, plus numerous large lithographed views of prominent local businesses, residences, and farms. Borough and township maps typically identify property ownership directly on the map. Preceded by a narrative history of Lancaster County and followed by a business directory at the rear. Condition: contents generally bold and serviceable, but with the usual real-world defects for a working atlas of this size and usescattered old browned tape repairs and mends (some affecting lithographed views/maps) , plus additional professional archival tissue repairs to edge tears. A few old wax-pencil initials and small doodles. Overall, roughly 20% of leaves show notable margin tearing, handling soil, or older repairs that remain visually evident; the balance is cleaner. A solid, presentable example of a heavily used Lancaster County atlas, with binding restoration done to stabilize the book for continued reference and display. Good to Good+. .
