Shepard was an English artist and book illustrator especially known for his illustrations for The Wind in the Willows and Winnie-the-Pooh. With sixteen plates. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart with a small mark to the head of the spine and some light fading to the spine. Front hinge is starting and the title page and frontispiece are loosening from the binding. Internally, generally firmly bound with bright pages with some light scattered spots to the first few pages. Very Good. book.
