Octavo (220 x 150 mm), differently bound set, vol. 1 : contemporary gilt half cloth with marbled boards, vol. 2 : conetmporary gilt half calf, XVIII, 802 pp.; 2 ff., 1008 pp., corners and edges lightly rubbed and bumped, paper age toned (vol. 2a little stronger), the second volume has the front fly leaf removed and shows two old ownership stamps on title (one unreadable, the other in Greek). The numbering on the spines of this set - as usual with this series - does not refer to the volume number in the series, as it had no fixed numbers, however 50 vols. were published through the course of the century and depending on how a potential owner would organize his library (according to date of publication or according to authors or works included) the volume numbering would be different, minor shelf wear but all together a well preserved copy.
