Full Leather. Zustand: Very Good. Illustrated by Raisz, Erwin (maps) (illustrator). Crisp and clean except for a small fingerprint on the front fixed endpaper and two more at the bottom of the "Notes from History" insert, a few very light rub marks in the gilding along the head and foreedges of the page block, a pinpoint surface chip at the right front of the cover, and tiny points of rubbing at the left rear corners of the cover, otherwise excellent. 647pp. Full green leather with hubbed spine, gilt titles and decoration, bound-in ribbon marker, decorative endpapers, all page edges gilded, "Notes from History" laid in. From "The Leather-Bound Library of American History".

Octavo (24cm); burgundy cloth-covered boards, with titling in gilt on spine, and illustration stamped in gilt and black to front cover; black topstain; map endpapers; 680pp; portrait frontispiece, with illustrations throughout. Lacking dustwrapper. Modest shelf-wear and -soil, light rubbing to board edges, faint foxing to edges of textblock, and 3" tear to fold of map at p.458; Very Good.
