[36] pp. Cover drawing by Leon Davey, who also designed the sets. Interesting contemporary advertisements. "Paprika" was not a success, but Maschwitz simply tweaked it, renamed it "Magyar Melody," and staged it again. It ran for 105 performances. This copy, with a very small stain on front cover, is Near Fine throughout.

Hawtrey's rave notices in music revue continued for Eric Maschwitz's, New Faces (1940) at the Comedy Theatre in London, particularly for his "chic and finished study of an alluring woman spy". New Faces was particularly remembered for the premiere of the song, 'A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square', which quickly became a wartime favourite. Judy Campbell, Betty Ann Davies, Bill Fraser, Zoë Gail, Charles Hawtrey. Book.
