No Binding. Zustand: Very Good. A photocopy of H. Emlyn Davies's privately produced memoir, *Taffy Went to War*, recounting his service with the 17th Battalion, Royal Welch Fusiliers, in the 38th (Welsh) Division. Davies writes about enlistment and training, service in France, and the fighting on the Somme, including Mametz Wood. The contents also list a chapter titled "Proven to Passchendaele," indicating that the memoir extends beyond the 1915-16 dates sometimes given for it. An engaging personal account of a Welsh soldier's wartime experience. This example consists of photocopied sheets, **not** an original typescript or a commercially printed edition. The reproduced title page includes an image of Davies's signature and a Cheshire County Library stamp dated 25 January 1977; neither is an original mark on this photocopy. Condition: Good as a reading copy. The photographed sheets are legible, with grey photocopy borders, some show-through and minor marks. Please see photographs.…
