The Four Primary Doctrines of the New Church is concerning the new Jerusalem in the revelation , and is to be read by those "respecting the Lord, the sacred scripture, life, and faith", and features an account of Swedenborg's life and writings. Angelic Wisdom concerning the Divine Providence is a translation from Swedenborg's original Sapientia Angelica de Divina Providentia, first published in 1764. Bound in Swedenborg Society cloth with embellished coat of arms. n cloth bindings with gilt lettering to the spines. Externally, both are lightly rubbed, with wear to the extremities and spine of Divine Providence. Both hinges to The Four Primary Doctrines are slightly strained. Internally, generally firmly bound with some leaves working loose to Divine Providence. Bright throughout, with the occasional instances of spotting to both volumes. Copperplate ink inscription to Divine Providence, and library bookplate to The Four Primary Doctrines. Good. book.
