From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones work…ed for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. Ella Logan was a Scottish-American actress, Broadway performer, and nightclub singer. Logan began her career in 1930 at the age of 16 when she made her recording debut as a vocalist for the Jack Hylton Orchestra, and began appearing on Broadway in 1934. Logan appeared in five films between 1936 and 1938 and in 1937 signed a recording contract with Columbia Records. Logan returned to Broadway for the final time in 1947, starring as Sharon McLonergan in the original production of "Finian's Rainbow," which ran for 725 performances, and was the vocalist for the show's most acclaimed songs, including "Look to the Rainbow" and "That Old Devil Moon." 7.75 x 9.5 inches.
