Coral reefs of south Sinai are among the most important reef communities all over the world. Moreover, they are ecosystems providing shelters for a large variety of organisms including urchins, cucumbers, molluscs, as well as other benthic species, forming together what the scientist call the 'Rainforests of the Sea' as they harbor an extremely diverse range of species.
