Title page undated, The British Library date this book to 1894 a profusely illustrated large folio book of biographies and photographs of the most famous boxing champions of the Victorian era, the book is a large folio format measuring 14.75 inches by 11.5 inches approx 132 pages with portraits to accompany every biographical page of text CONDITION the covers have fraying wear to corners and spine ends, with small split to cloth along lower spine edges, a few small snags to the cloth, internally book lacks front endpapers and opens onto the title page, some cracking to joints with webbing exposed, title page lightly marked and creases with some noticeable edge tears with no loss, within the book there are a few more edge tears with minor loss, (the worst of the tears is pictured) some noticeable heavy browning to lower plain margin of a small number of the pages, light page edge creasing and a few light marks from handling else an acceptable example of this scarce Victorian boxing book, this is a large folio sized book, overseas shipping charges will be higher than the basic standard quote.
