Dr. David Livingstone (1813-1873) was a Scottish physician, Christian Missionary, explorer, abolishionist, and member of the London Missionary Society. Royal Navy Lieutenant Edward Daniel Young had gone on an exploration with Dr. Livingstone. "Young embarked on an expedition to find Dr. David Livingstone after reports surfaced that the good doctor had been mudered in Africa. Accompanied by Henry Faulkner. Young traveled to the Zambesi River region only to find the reports to be false. There are several big game hunting enecounters described in this narrative including sport after elephants, hippos, and crocodiles, as well as antelopes." (Czech, Afica, p. 308.) 16 pp. ads.
