In den Warenkorb8'' x 5'' folded Eighth Army single sheet pamphlet with double page map of Rome across the centre. Rome fell June 04, 1944 - after battle of Cassino was finally over on May 18 - and the German 'Gustav Line' for defense of Rome, broken. Amazing the Army Education Corps even took time to offer this 'social' intermezzo for its troops as they were battle rushed in the North, arriving at line south of Florence by 4th of August. A fleeting, vanishing? momento indeed. Maybe one - two thousand printed? which not many soldiers put in their back pack when racing out of Rome. Rust spot mark through both leaves.
