A contemporary review described Chapel Street Children (1900) as "a book which will delight children of any age," adding that Farmiloe is "second to none in her delineations of Cockney gutter imps". Original dark blue cloth with gilt titles. Page edges gilt. Prize inscription on fron endpaper and attractive contemporary bookplate on free endpaper. Hinges cracked but binding tight. Wonderful sketches of small children obviously drawn from life.

Collated, complete.'The Dumpy Books for Children' was a series of pocket sized works for children, published between 1897 and 1904, totaling to forty publications. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Some light marks to the boards and spines. Very minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. 'The Pink Knight' is a little discoloured. Front hinge of 'The Pink Knight' is strained. Tidemark to the rear endpaper and rear paste down. Internally, 'Cautionary Tales' is firmly bound, 'The Pink Knight' is generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with only the occasional spot. Very Good. book.

First edition hard back binding in publisher's original colour illustrated paper covered boards, gilt title lettering to the olive cloth spine. Landscape 9½'' x 12½''. Contains printed pages of text to one leaf with full-page colour illustration opposite. At some stage the pages had worked loose and been taped back-in, this old tape has now been removed and the books pages have been re-glued to the spine, this has stabilised and made the book more presentable, but has left old tape shadows to some of the inner margins, rubbing to the edges of the covers, ink ownership marking to the front free end paper, a little finger soiling to the some pages.
