The book is in really good condition, normal wear and marks apply consistent with use and age. Comes with nice brown box slipcase. 181 pages all intact, all pages, text, maps and illustrations are in good, clean, readable order. The binding design is from an engraving of Fort St George, Madras, made c. 1757. The frontispiece shows a page from Major Corneille's manuscript. The endpapers show the arms of George 11 and The East India Company. Map drawn by K.C. Jordan. Printed in Great Britain by Richard Clay Ltd, Bungay, set inpoint Baskerville 2 points leaded. The brown slip case is very good; small repaired split to lower corner. An attractive copy.
