Memoirs of the journalistic profession and Fleet Street area as recollected by Williamson, Arthur Machen, Alec Waugh, Vernon Bartlett, J.B.Morton, D.B.Wyndham Lewis, Hilaire Belloc, H.M.Tomlinson, Martin Armstrong, Gerald Bullett, Caradoc Evans, J.B.Priestley, Edward Shanks, J.C.Squire, G.B.Stern &c. loosely inserted a compliment slip from Cassell propritor Newman Flower at La Belle Sauvage Ludgate Hill- a pub in the Fleet Street area (there is much mention of pubs in the book). Sir Walter Newman Flower (1879 Ð 1964) was an English publisher and author. He transformed the fortunes of the publishing house Cassell & Co, and became its proprietor.
