Zustand: Good. 1958. No Edition Remarks. 572 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Quarter bound in red leather leather with red cloth covered boards. Book has been rebound by library, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Pages remain bright and clear with minimal tanning and foxing. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.

First Edition. Comprehensive selection from his poetry by the editor of the Scots Magazine. Signed by Macleod to the front endpaper and a small stamp of the magazine. Limited to 1500 copies. VG in VG- dustjacket with a little wear to the spine ends.\n\n.

Half-Leather. Zustand: Very Good. J.M. Ralston, H.French, F.W.Lawson, E.G.Dalziel, J.D.Cooper, R.W.Fraser, T.Sulman (illustrator). Half leather binding with red title label, 5 raised bands, gilt lettering and double ruled lines, marbled boards.

Hardcover. Zustand: Good. No Jacket. Two large, heavy, hard backs, quarter-bound in black leather around each spine, with matching leather corners and cloth bound sides. No dust jackets. Both hardback books are in reasonably good condition, however they are worn, used and would greatly appreciate some repair/ upkeep/ rebound. Normal wear, marks and tear apply consistent with use and age. Corners are worn, please see photos and the odd brown foxing mark. Volume I: Genesis-Solomon, the binding is loose, however the main bulk of the book pages is still tight. this book has 716 pages all intact. Volume II: Isaiah-Rev. has some wear, with small tear to spine, however binding is tight, this book has 358 pages plus another 46 pages titled "Bible Dictionary or Compendium of Information" regarding the names, places, natural history, and general subjects mentioned in scripture. All pages intact, all pages, lovely large text and stunning illustrations are in good, clean, readable order. Please note both volumes are large, heavy books therefore postage/shipping may increase from listed price depending on final destination. No published date listed however I have put the date as 1880 and looking at the books I would assume that to be correct, happy to be corrected if I'm wrong. Both books have a gorgeous gilt edge to all papers and lovely large text. These wonderful books deserved to be preserved for future generations. I just love the illustrations, the steel and wood engravings, plates and large text and way the books have been compiled for all ages and abilities. For these two amazing books to survive over one hundred and forty-five years and still be (in my humble opinion) reasonably good condition is quite something.
