The periodical was part fashion journal and part promotional material for its publisher Albert Godden, Bedin & Cie, a silk manufacturer in Lyon. It was billed as a 'Monthly Art Review of Paris Fashions publishing monthly the choicest models of the big dressmakers in the exact shade of their creation, as well as the textile fabrics in vogue'. With fashion illustrations of the latest styles in clothes and accessories from couture houses such as Doeuillet, Beer, Philippe et Gaston, Martial et Armand, Jean Patou, Paquin, Drecoll, Premet, Jeanne Hallée, Jenny, Molyneux, and Paul Poiret. Drawings by Colette, J. Dory, Marioton, Vittroto and P. Scavone. This issue with a stunning double-page pochoir illustration of fashion models in a sea-side setting and a design by Poiret to front cover.
