In den WarenkorbHardback. Zustand: Good to Very Good - See Descri. M. Bowley, Harry Rowntree, Charles Crombie, A.E. Jackson, Lawson Wood (illustrator). Presumed First Edition. No stated date c1905-1910. Presumed first edition. 95pp. including 7 of 8 colour illustrations by various artists (lacking the frontispiece). This is a collection of over sixty songs for children, with music. It includes many well-known songs such as Girls and Boys Come Out to Play, Jack and Jill, Little Bo-Peep, Rub-a-Dub Dub, and Three Blind Mice. There are also a large number of less well known songs. The book is bound in the original dark red-brown cloth covered boards with gold titling and a gold illustration on the front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with shelf wear and some soiling to the boards and some wear to the illustration on the front board. The corners are lightly bumped and there is heavier bumping to the spine ends. The book has fairly recently been re-backed and re-cased in the original boards with new grey endpapers, and as a result the book is now tight and secure. The contents are in good to very good condition with many of the pages, mostly near the start of the book and including the title-page, having stains and marks from grubby fingers, etc. The list of illustrations and several other pages, including some of the plates, have tears of about 1" to 2" on the edges that have been repaired with document repair tape. Page 18 has a larger tear of about 5 1/2" on the bottom edge that has also been repaired. Pages 9 to 12 have creases across the top corner. As mentioned above, the frontispiece is missing. There is no inscription.
