Emanuel (1898-1960) had served as chairman of the Aircraft Production Council in the Second World War, was then chairman of the Aviation Corporation, and was well-connected in political circles. The FBI Story is an authorized history of the FBI, written with free access to the FBI records and personnel. The author was head of the Washington Bureau of the New York Herald Tribune. Octavo.
