Some trivial rubbing to spine head and tail, rear hinge just starting at head, bookseller's ticket to RFEP. A clean, sound and handsome copy. A survey of various points of orthodoxy, notably including 'The Origin of Man' among Miracles, Virgin Birth, and Inspiration of the Bible. Bryan was a main catalyst in the national dispute over Evolution which had begun with the publication of *The Fundamentals* in 1915. He would take center stage the year after this book's publication in the Scopes trial. The inscription is dated exactly one month before the trial. Illustrated throughout by E.J. Pace, often wrongly attributed as the first appearance of his 'Descent of the Modernists' cartoon, which had appeared in Pace's own *Christian Cartoons* in 1922.…
