Halblederband der Zeit mit Rückenvergoldung. * Vergl. Bibliotheca Walleriana 4347. Der Verfasser (1820 - 1910) war Professor und Direktor an der Charité in Berlin. Die vorliegende Ausgabe ist sein Hauptwerk. Unter seiner Leitung vergrößerte sich die Klientel der Klinik ganz erheblich. Henoch öffnete die Klinik auch für Säuglinge, die bis dahin ausgeschlossen waren. Dies bewährte sich allerdings nicht, da 75% der aufgenommenen Säuglinge verstarben. So kam er zu dem Schluß, man solle Säuglinge in "eigentlichen Krankenhäusern " nicht aufnehmen, "sondern nur in Anstalten", die durch angestellte Ammen eine biologische Ernährung gewährleisten. Dies wurde dann von seinem Nachfolger realisiert. Innen gebräunt und letzte Seiten fleckig.
