As opposed to the first story, the children find magic and wonder in central London, rather than the removed countryside of Kent. First published in the Strand Magazine in the summer of 1903.

Light occasional spotting and minor marks throughout. A clean copy in an attractive new leather binding. Three children can't bear the thought of being stuck all summer with a prim maiden aunt, and so end up instead at a half-closed-up girls school where they discover fantasy and adventure out on the estate, complete with a magic ring which grants wishes.
