Paste-in from Oban High School (see photos). Includes original dust jacket which is in poor condition, with sun damage on spine and torn edges. The volume underneath, however, is in a blue cloth binding in good condition save some shelf wear. Art nouveau-stylised Celtic embossed illustration on front and back of cloth binding, with gilt spine. Cloth spine has some spotty sun damage. Minimal foxing throughout with clear interior pages. Second Edition, revised and enlarged. Slight foxing throughout and edges of leaves a little darkened, otherwise a nice copy. From the Library of Hester Sassoon [née Gatty], bearing her autograph Hester Gatty signature, dated 1925, on a preliminary blank Hester Gatty was born in 1906, the daughter of Sir Stephen and Lady Katherine Gatty. She met and married Siegfried Sassoon in 1933. Although they separated after the birth of their son, George, they never divorced. She died in 1973. Original blue blind stamped cloth, spine lettered and decorated in gilt, top edge gilt, patterned end-papers.…
