Clean and tightly bound in blue cloth binding with gilded titles and text block edges. The spine ends and edges show wear, otherwise very good. The front endpapers have several…scuffs and the albumen prints are slightly faded. This copy is from a 19th Century private lending institution, the Mercantile Library of New York City. There are no external indications of the library's ownership. A handwritten number and Mercantile Library stamp is on the title page and some of the internal pages and there is some penciling.
