Parti de Tanger le 15 août 1839, Sir John DRUMMOND HAY (1816-1893) avait pour mission d'acheter des chevaux de choix pour le compte de la reine Victoria. Au point de vue politique, l'auteur insiste pour une alliance entre l'Angleterre et le Maroc.
