Endpapers illustrated with a scene of the King of Beasts, looking over the scene, with an antelope under his claw. No date on title page. Copyright page dated 1927. Stated second edition. 126 pages. In fair condition. The binding is loose, and one whole signature (the first few pages) is untethered. A tape repair to the join is quite yellowed now. Pages are largely in good shape, though -- unmarked and without tears. There is scuffing and edgewear to boards, with some spotting to cloth on spine and loss at the head and foot of the spine. Color illustrations throughout by Douglas Grant. Perhaps a good working copy.
