Between the years of 1945-47, she wrote a cookery column for Vogue, extracts of which make up the present volume. The work caters for rationing conditions, offering many suitable swaps. Publisher's original cloth-backed paperback. Externally, reasonably smart with slight bumping and rubbing, resulting in fraying to edges and a small chip to the top edge of the front cover. Light spotting and discolouration to front and rear. Internally, front hinge a little weak, leading to delicate binding to pages 48 and 49, 112 and 113 and 128 and 129.
