Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends, with fraying cloth and small splits. Sunning to spine and board edges. Gilt lettering has become dull. Book has a slight forward lean.

Mabel Lucie Attwell (1879 -1964) was a British children's book illustrator known for her cute, nostalgic drawings of children. Her drawings were also featured on many postcards, advertisements, posters and figurines. Capt. Edric Vredenburg may be less known today; he was a thriller writer who turned to writing and editing books for the very young and used the name 'Father Tuck'.
