This led to the `Wilson Cycle' concept in which the repeated opening and closing of ocean basins along old orogenic belts is a key process in the assembly and breakup of supercontinents. The Wilson Cycle underlies much of what we know about the geological evolution of the Earth and its lithosphere, and will no doubt continue to be developed as we gain more understanding of the physical processes that control mantle convection, plate tectonics, and as more data become available from currently less accessible regions. Il compte donc 344 pages, avec 69 pages en couleurs, quelques photographies en noir et 3 feuillets d'errata.Précisons que l'ensemble des 18 volumes qui constituent ces RECHERCHES SUR LES SUPERSTITIONS EN CHINE se décompose en trois parties : Les Pratiques religieuses (tomes I-IV), le Panthéon Chinois (tomes VI-XII), la Popularisation des trois Religions (tomes XIII-XVIII).Les tomes XIII et XIV sont ainsi présentés par le P. Henri Doré est un jésuite, missionnaire en Chine, né le 4 avril 1859, mort en Chine à Shanghai le 4 décembre 1931. Il s'est spécialisé dans l'étude de la religion chinoise.
