Fioriture marginali, ma ottima copia. Prima edizione della traduzione di Francesco Davoli. Donizone di Canossa fu monaco benedettino del monastero di Sant'Apollonio di Canossa, in cui entrò verso il 1090 e del quale divenne successivamente abate. Intorno al 1115 compose la Vita Mathildis, una biografia di Matilde di Canossa di cui fu amico e confessore personale, opera di primaria importanza storica come fonte storica sulla vita di Matilde.
