In den WarenkorbHardback, Pages: 570, Size:115 x 165 mm, Languages: French, Latin. ISBN 9782851213426. Summary This reprint of volume 35 of the "Bibliothèque Augustinienne" contains books 11 to 14, composed between 416 and 420, which correspond, in the structure of the work, to the "origins" of the two cities. Augustine addresses fundamental themes of his doctrine, repeatedly confronting them with the concepts of ancient philosophy. He returns to the creation of the world through the exegesis of the first verses of Genesis (l. 11); to the creation of the angels and the fall of some of them, as well as to the fall of the first man, also due to evil will (l. 12). He describes the consequences of sin, mortality and the second death, which is contrasted by the resurrection of the saints, saved by divine grace (l. 13). Finally, the theme of life "according to the flesh", in which lust unfolds, gives rise to a discussion of the passions (l. 14). XIV).
