Das bedeutet andererseits nicht den Versuch, dem Tod seinen Schrecken zu nehmen, denn nur als unbeschönigter ist er eine Bedingung des Subjektseins. Dirk Stedroth vertritt die These, daß die Beantwortung der Frage, ob eine Welt ohne Tod eine Hoffnung oder eine Schreckensvision darstellt, ganz davon abhängt, wie wir unser gegenwärtiges Leben beurteilen.
