B : 253 pages, ill. en noir et en couleur. - L importance de l'oeuvre conceptuelle de Maurizio Nannuci aurait mérité un ouvrage d'une autre qualité que celle du catalogue publié par le musée d art moderne de Saint-Etienne. Les nombreuses coquilles qui parsèment la version française du texte (suivie de versions anglaise et allemande) et l organisation anarchique des images (il est difficile de distinguer les reproductions d uvres des documents de ou sur l artiste) seraient vite oubliées si le contenu didactique de l ouvrage représentait un réel apport critique. Il n en est rien. L article introductif de Lóránd Hegyi se borne à des généralités sur le pouvoir de l art à transformer le monde, sans être en prise concrète avec les uvres qu il est censé analyser. L entretien de Nannuchi avec Gabriele Detterer est un peu plus convaincant. Mais, de manière significative, c est seulement à la lecture de la courte notice biographique qui conclut le livre que le lecteur parvient à se faire une idée un peu claire des enjeux essentiels impliqués dans ce travail.
