20 pages. Illustrations miniatures et facsimilés. (21x16cm).

Zustand: New. Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - Relacion Historica De La Famosa Invasion Del Exercito Y Armada De Francia En Cataluña En 1285 Y De La Valerosa Resistencia Que Los Catalanes, Aragoneses Y Valencianos Con Su Rey Don Pedro Hicieron Á Los Enemigos En El RosellÃ3n Y El Ampurdán Por. recounts the historical events surrounding the infamous invasion of Catalonia by the French army and navy in 1285. Bernat Desclot details the valiant resistance mounted by the Catalans, Aragonese, and Valencians, led by their King Don Pedro (Peter III of Aragon), against the invading forces in Roussillon and Empordà. This historical relation provides insights into the military strategies, political dynamics, and cultural resilience of the Iberian kingdoms during this critical period of medieval history. The narrative offers a valuable perspective on the struggles and triumphs of a united people defending their lands against foreign aggression, emphasizing the enduring spirit of resistance and the significance of local alliances in the face of external threats. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
