Reprinted From The Philosophical Review, July, 1946. (illustrator). Very Good (some wear & fading covers, small paperclip stain top of rear cover; contents clean & tight). 8vo., printed blue wraps; 64 pages Off-print. Signed presentation from Dennis on the front cover: "With best wishes to Richard Pettitt, W.R.D." Laid in is a letter from Pettitt, who must also be a philosophy professor, dated San Francisco, May 13, 1948. Pettitt thanks Dennes for the pamphlet but writes "several readings leave me no certain knowledge that I have grasped the whole." He particularly cites "theoretic conflicts" as being problematic for him. [entire letter is scanned here]. Dennes was a professor of Philosophy at the University of California. A scarce title!. Signed.
