Belgian artist Albert Delstanche uses woodcuts and descriptions to paint a portrait of his homeland before the destruction of the First World War. Delstanche lived and worked in London during the First World War, and while abroad carved these woodcuts of his homeland. In the publisher's original quarter cloth binding with paper covered boards. Shelf wear to spine head and tail. Contemporary owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound.
