Illustrated with six engraved plates. Brown cloth lettered in gilt, 509 pages. Spine covering chipped and cracked but with little surface loss, appears a little shinier than it should be, perhaps coated with something a lot time ago, corners bumped, good hinges, firm text block, clean pages with an old transparent stain to the upper and lower corner margins of the last 150 pages or so but not affecting text, folding frontis map very good, name in pencil on front free endpaper, no other markings.
