Barbier, II, 827. Exlibris. Einband etwas berieben und an den Ecken leicht bestoßen, Vorsätze etwas gebräunt (unter anderem durch das säurehaltige Papier des Exlibris), Seiten vorwiegend in den Stegen etwas stockfleckig. Gutes bis sehr gutes Exemplar. Hardcover binding of the times with gilt embossed title on green spine label and yellow edges. French language edition. Binding rubbed and edges a bit bumped, endpapers darkened (partially due to ex-libris label), pages with foxing (mostly margins affected). Nearly fine copy.

Faint rubbing to boards, with library call number in gold ink on spine. This volume was once part of Lord Rosebery's library at the Durdans, Epsom, and bears a label on the front pastedown. The library was sold off in 1933, and so accompanying the Durdans label is the bookplate of Joseph M. Gleason, a collector who then came to own the book. Moderate foxing to the intial and final pages. Light (tax?) stamp on half title page, with library numbers on the verso of the title page. Occasional check marks in pencil alongside text. Binding firm. A handsome little book. Hard Cover. Very Good.
