End of essay. Covers generally clean with only slight corner bumping but spine ends both horizontally chipped at textblock level. An odd humorous exercise in esoteric Stock Exchange in-joking, probably incomprehensible to even the most veteran of today's stock-brokers, but occasionally amusing nonetheless. The Badminton Library of Sports and Pastimes was a series of sporting books, published by Longmans, Green & Co. between 1885 and 1902, and edited by Henry Somerset, 8th Duke of Beaufort (18241899).
