The importance of histological confirmation of complete excision is discussed at length. A careful repair according to plastic surgery principles can produce excellent aesthetic results. The technique of simple excision in areas of adequate skin laxity is depicted in detail, and the use of a variety of flaps and grafts to deal with difficult repairs is outlined in 32 diagrams. Clinical examples of the problems in different areas of the face are presented with special emphasis on the long-term results. Munro was selected as general secretary. Its first meeting was held in La Napoule (Sep tember 1985) under the chairmanship of D. Marchac.
