Dust jacket with some small stains and some minor rubbing to extremities. Dj in very good, binding and interior both in near fine condition overall. A refreshing study investigating the esoteric Sod ha-Egoz texts attributed to the Medieval German Pieists, which are the earliest known Rabbinic commentary on the first chapter of the Biblical book of Ezekiel (Ezekiel's Chariot). This biblical chapter is itself considered the foundation of the earliest known school of Jewish mysticism known as as Merkavah mysticism. These original commentaries were inspired by the sexual metaphors of the "nut grove", found in the biblical book Song of Songs, and use them to expound upon the details of Ezekiel's vision of the Chariot of God.

Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - Child-Parent Research Reimagined challenges the field to explore the meaning making experiences and the methodological and ethical challenges that come to the fore when researchers engage in research with their child, grandchild, or other relative. As scholars in and beyond the field of education grapple with ways that youth make meaning with digital and nondigital resources and practices, this edited volume offers insights into nuanced learning that is highly contextualized and textured while also (re)initiating important methodological and epistemological conversations about research that seeks to flatten traditional hierarchies, honor youth voices, and co-investigate facets of youth meaning making. Contributors are (in alphabetical order): Charlotte Abrams, Sandra Schamroth Abrams, Kathleen M. Alley, Bill Cope, Mary Kalantzis, Molly Kurpis, Linda Laidlaw, Guy Merchant, Daniel Ness, Eric Ness, 'E.' O'Keefe, Joanne O'Mara, Anthony J. Onwuegbuzie, Sarah Prestridge, Lourdes M. In den WarenkorbHardcover. Zustand: New. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: New. viii, 743 pages : illustrations ; 25 cm. English with some Hebrew. Kabbalistic Manuscripts and Textual Theory uncovers the unstated assumptions and expectations of scribes and scholars who fashioned editions from manuscripts of Jewish mystical literature. This study offers a theory of Kabbalistic textuality in which the material book the printed page no less than handwritten manuscripts serves as the site for textual dialogue between Jewish mystics of different periods and locations. The refashioning of the text through the process of reading and commenting that takes place on the page in the margins and between the lines blurs the boundaries between the traditionally defined roles of author, reader, commentator and editor. This study shows that Kabbalists and academic editors reinvented the text in their own image, as part of a fluid textual process that was nothing short of transformative.
