SIGNED by the artist, Dan Dailey, in ink and with an elaborate drawing on tan paper page facing the title-page. Inscribed warmly and dated 1987. Also signed on the title-page. The drawing is of the artist at his drawing board sketching a self portrait drawing what appears to be an ancient Greek vase form: the kylix. Otherwise completely clean. This monograph was prepared to accompany the exhibition at the Rosenwald-Wolf Gallery in Philadelphia. The exhibition then traveled to The Renwick Gallery in Washington, D. C. Revised Final script for the 1950 film. Bound presentation script belonging to producer Sol C. Siegel with his name in gilt on the front board. With 53 studio still photographs tipped in throughout, four pages of retakes and added scenes tipped in at the rear, as well as a number of manuscript annotations, primarily denoting the titles of various musical numbers. Based on the short story "Stork Don't Bring Babies" by S.K. Lauren, Grable and Dailey play a showbiz couple who discover, in successive order, that they cannot have children, that they can adopt children, and that they aren't really fit to raise children. But things get better, with the help of several musical numbers scored by Harold Arlen. Bound in green faux leather boards with gilt titles and rule, and marbled endpapers.
