This is a manuscript notebook, completely handwritten in ink, circulated between a group of 5 alumni of Jonstrup Seminarium, Denmark's first teacher's college. 150 to 250 words to a page, contributions run 3 to 7 pages. Each group member made his contribution then sent the book on to the next member of the group. Group members were teaching at Virkelyst, Rye skole (Roskilde), Søsum skole, Sest friskole, etc. Contents deal with literary, theological and philosophical topics of the day: B. Bjornson, Grundtvigianism, Georg Brandes, etc. Contemporary blind leather-backed boards. Good.
